W. Yang trained as an architect and has developed projects at diverse levels of virtuality. His work has been exhibited and awarded worldwide, including the International New Media Festival and VRML Symposium. In 1999, he joined Comdisco as creative director to create a brand identity for its new division - RED. W. Yang crafted a complete RED experience, networked and interactive, converging with its TV and print ad campaign. As a member of the multidisciplinary practice index, his projects have ranged from designing new townships in China, to designing commercial websites, and he is currently developing a location specific user interface for file storage and retrieval. He is a Senior Lecturer at School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong. Prior to joining CityU, W. Yang taught at the pioneering MFA Design and Technology program at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Bachelor of Architecture: Carnegie Mellon University.
